About PropMinMax

PropMinMax is a data-driven prop trading comparison platform built by traders, for traders. We go beyond generic "top 5" lists to give you a fully customizable ranking system across 15 real metrics – so you can find the firm that actually fits your strategy.

PropMinMax exists because prop firm reviews ignore the metrics that matter. We focus on:

  • Payout caps (per account vs per user)
  • Withdrawal limits on early payouts
  • Daily loss limits and trailing stop types
  • Consistency rules that disqualify profitable traders
  • Scaling restrictions and account maximums

What is PropMinMax?

PropMinMax is a data-driven comparison tool for proprietary trading firms. We help traders make informed decisions by ranking firms based on what actually matters: ROI, payout speed, profit splits, and trading conditions.

Unlike static reviews or biased affiliate sites, PropMinMax gives you dynamic control. Three scoring modes – Weighted Rank, Capital Safety, and Max ROI – let you answer different questions depending on your priorities. Adjust the weights of 15 different metrics to match your trading style and priorities, then watch the rankings update in real-time.

Why We Built This

As traders ourselves, we got tired of manually comparing spreadsheets, reading biased reviews, and trying to calculate which prop firms actually offered the best ROI for our capital.

Most comparison sites focus on surface-level features without doing the math. We wanted a tool that would calculate the real monthly ROI, account for payout frequency, and let us customize the comparison based on what we actually care about.

So we built PropMinMax – the comparison tool we wish existed when we started prop trading.

How It Works

1. We Collect Real Data

We track 15 metrics for every major prop firm: costs, payout caps, profit splits, days to first payout, payout frequency, consistency rules, and more.

2. You Set Your Priorities

Use the sidebar sliders to adjust the weight of each metric. Care more about fast payouts than profit splits? Crank up "Days to Payout" and lower "Profit Split". The rankings update instantly.

3. We Calculate True ROI

Our algorithm calculates monthly ROI per account, factoring in payout caps, profit splits, and frequency. We show you which firms give you the best return on your capital.

The Methodology

Each firm receives a weighted score based on 15 metrics. The default weights reflect what most traders care about, but you have complete control to customize them.

Here's what we measure and the default weight of each:

  • Monthly ROI (17%) – Primary profitability metric: how much you earn vs what you pay per month
  • Days to Payout (19%) – Total days from purchase to first withdrawal; faster = lower risk and faster ROI
  • Affordability (10%) – Lower upfront cost means lower barrier to entry and faster breakeven
  • 50% Withdraw Cap (12%) – Heavy penalty if your first payout is restricted to 50% of available balance
  • Payouts/Month (8%) – More frequent payouts improve cash flow and compounding potential
  • Profit Split (6%) – Your share of profits; a higher cap at 80/20 often beats a lower cap at 90/10
  • Consistency Rule (6%) – No rule scores highest; strict rules can disqualify profitable traders unexpectedly
  • InstaPay (2%) – Instant withdrawal processing; nice to have but doesn't change income potential
  • Scaling (3%) – Ability to grow to larger account sizes over time
  • Withdraw All (4%) – Can you eventually withdraw 100% of balance, or is a buffer always required
  • Daily Loss Limit (4%) – Firms without DLL score higher; DLL can lock you out mid-session
  • Instant Activation (1%) – Funded account is activated immediately after passing evaluation – no waiting period.
  • Trailing Drawdown (6%) – Static is most forgiving, EOD is standard, Intraday is most restrictive
  • Max Accounts (2%) – More simultaneous accounts means more scaling potential

Value Breakpoint

The Value Breakpoint tool lets you compare any two firms head-to-head and find the exact price where one firm flips ahead of the other. Set the price you'd actually pay – with a discount code or promo – and see the real score difference.
