Most comparison sites rank whoever pays best. PropMinMax ranks firms by the math — and lets you decide what the math should care about.

Why this exists

The short version: the spreadsheet got out of hand.

I was running multiple prop accounts and had no real way to compare them. Every review site had a "top 5" list with no math behind it. Affiliate sites ranked whoever paid the most. Forums had opinions but no data.

So I built a spreadsheet. Then it got complicated enough that I turned it into this. The goal was simple: show me which firm is actually best for my specific situation – my account size, my trading style, what I care about.

Every feature here came from a real question while managing a funded stack. "Which firm pays faster?" "Which has the better cap?" "Which account actually gives me the best ROI?" If it exists here, I needed it myself.

Why trust us?

The parts that matter before you trust any ranking.

Built by a trader

I trade prop accounts myself - APEX, Lucid, Tradeify, MFFU. This started as a personal spreadsheet because I couldn't find anything that did the math honestly.

No sponsored rankings

Firms cannot pay to rank higher. Every position is determined by the scoring algorithm - the same one you can inspect and adjust yourself.

Real math, not vibes

We calculate monthly ROI, payout caps, frequency, drawdown type, and cost - then let you weight what matters to you.

Affiliate links, disclosed

We earn commissions when you purchase through some links or discount codes. That's how the site stays free, but it never changes rankings.

Data kept current

Prop firm rules change constantly. We monitor rule changes, manually update key metrics, and timestamp when each firm was last checked.

Transparent methodology

Every scoring decision is documented. You can see why a firm ranks where it does and override any weight you disagree with.

How to verify us

You should be able to prove or challenge the ranking yourself.

Open the comparison tool

Change the weights

The default ranking reflects my priorities, but you can turn any metric up, down, or off and see the order change instantly.

Check the data date

Firm terms move fast, so rows are timestamped when reviewed. If something looks stale, send it in and I will re-check it.

Compare the tradeoffs

The tool shows why a cheaper account may lose to better rules, or why a high-ROI account may still carry payout friction.

Want to support PropMinMax?

Use the tool first. If a firm genuinely fits your priorities, using one of our links or discount codes helps keep the site free. It never changes rankings, and the affiliate relationship is disclosed.

You can also support the project by reporting stale data, sending rule updates, or suggesting firms we should add.
